Entertainment & Nightlife in Uzbekistan

Tashkent is also well-known for having the best options for nightlife in Uzbekistan and Central Asia. Whether you are looking for an all-night at one of the many modern dance clubs, or a quiet evening dining on fine cuisine. Get out and enjoy any of the restaurants providing diverse cuisine, from Spanish to Uzbek to Italian to Punjab. And then head to a high-tech club for all-night dancing to the latest music and eye popping light shows.

Alcoholic drinks are sold freely in shops or street stalls. Outdoor bars are popular in good weather. A mind-numbing variety of brands of vodka are available almost everywhere. Although Uzbekistan is predominately Muslim, for the most part the Islam practiced there tends to be more cultural than religious.

Larger hotels have “night bars” where people can gather until the early morning hours. There are also theatres that screen movies in the local languages; some even boast an occasional screening in English.

Nightclubs, like anywhere else, offer expensive drinks, and typically play a mix of Russian and Western music. Strip shows are common.

The Chelsea Arms in Kakhara Street is a 'traditional' themed English pub. Tashkent also has at least two Irish theme bars – the new Irish Pub and Patrick's Irish Pub, Akhunbabaev Street.
